• For natural wicker, clean with frequent vacuuming, a damp cloth or a hose and detergent. Tackle built-up grime with a solution of 2 tablespoons of ammonia to 1 gallon water.
• Don’t store natural wicker in a wet basement. You can remove mold and mildew from rattan or wicker with a bleach-water solution, or ammonia in water. Use bleach only on furniture that has been painted or sealed.
• Don’t leave wicker in the sun for long periods of time, or it will dry out. Indoor heat can also cause natural wicker to dry out. If wicker looks dried out, wet it down and allow it to dry in the shade.
• Don’t strip paint off of wicker; it can make the reeds brittle. Repaint it instead with spray paint.
• Padded seat cushions will extend the life of your natural wicker furniture.

Gas Grills are becoming a dime-a-dozen industry. Every year thousands of gas grills are thrown away after only 1 or 2 years of mild use. With the ever increasing purchasing power of big box stores like Wal-Mart, Home Depot and Lowes, inferior quality gas grills have flooded the market leaving consumers with false perceptions of brand name and true quality. As recent as 15 years ago, barbeque gas grills were designed and manufactured by Americans for Americans. Who better to decide the proper material needed and the most functional design than the Chinese. Right? WRONG.

Popular gas grill brands such as Weber, Char-Broil, Cuisinart and Ducane were once manufactured state side, but have now been outsourced to China. Names like Broilmaster, Broil King, Viking and Vermont Castings continue to be made in America with high standards and quality materials. There comes a time when grilling the same old steak or the same old burger on your backyard bbq grill becomes boring and overdone. I believe we all reach a point in our grilling careers when we decide it’s time to spice things up and take our American bbq classics to another level. I want to share with you a personal experience my family and I had in particular with Dizzy Pig Pineapple Head Seasoning. We began by grilling the pineapple and letting one side caramelize  with its own natural sugars. We then placed our burgers on the grill, flipped them once and applied a slice of swiss cheese to the already done side. My family enjoys a medium rare burger with a toasted bun to bring out the full flavors of the meat and onion bun. By the time the meat was finished, the Dizzy Pig Pineapple Head Seasoning had caramelized with the turbinado sugar melting into the pineapple.

The burgers were perfect! All of the flavors blended together creating a balanced dish that melted in our mouths. The strong salty swiss cheese on top of the juicy beef was complemented by the sweet caramelized pineapple with just the right amount of kick from the chili spices and cinnamon of the Pineapple Head Seasoning. Top it all off with the slight crunch of the onion bun and it was out of this world. The only thing that could have made “The Aloha Burger” better was if we were eating it on the beaches of Hawaii!
